Well hello there!
I know I know I know. I said I was going to start next week on Friday if anyone signed up. But I totally thought that maybe my friend Mel would sign up and that would be it. And then there were two of you. And then three. And then I started getting giddy and elated and I thought I should do something to celebrate. And then there were like… event more of you…
So I made a French 75 but since this is a plant newsletter, not a cocktail newsletter, I’m going to move along. And then I decided to send this bonus early edition of the newsletter to you go-getters who joined me right away.
I’m wiping away tears of gratitude for you while I sip this cocktail.
What even is this?
You know, I don’t really know yet. I’m going to make it up as I go along. But you, darling plant loving reader, figure strongly into this whole mess. You’re here for the messy new beginning of *gestures vaguely* whatever this whole thing is. If there’s something you’d like to see in this newsletter let me know. I’ll try to keep it in mind.
New plants this week…
I totally didn’t get any plants this week. I think. I have to think back to what day the orchid came with my groceries… And I think that was last week so I’m sorry I’ve nothing lovely to share here. Though… okay fine. You all are coming on this journey with me so I’m going to order some new plants TONIGHT. Okay I just ordered a couple and I’m about to order a few more. You are enablers, you know that? But it will help me come up with something good to talk with you about next Friday <3
Links link links links links everybody!
Did you sing that to the tune of Shots by LMFAO with Lil John? If not, you didn’t do it right. Normally I would sing Plants plants plants plants plants plants plants everybody but I wanted you to know that I’m going to link to things. Some of it will be mine… some of it is not . Here’s a little round up of the plant content I’m pushing this week!
Top Three Plants Most Killed by Cami
This is pretty much what it sounds like. A post about the plants I most frequently kill. This knowledge will come in handy next week when my new plants get delivered. I promise.
Costco is selling a $15 Fiddle-Leaf Fig! What?
Props to my work spouse Courtney for finding this one! OMG $15 Fiddle-Leaf Figs? I have to admit that I messaged my grocery delivery guy while he was at Costco to ask him to look for them. No joy there. But my daddy, who I also texted about this, said he’d keep his eye out. I think y’all should too.
And the featured Instagram account of the week is….
I totally just decided that this would be a section of the newsletter because I’m fan-girling pretty hard over a couple of insta accounts and I figure you might want to join me in that kind of plant fan joy? I had a hard time deciding between a few accounts this week but I gotta go with the one bringing me way too much joy following up the holiday season.
@thejungleupstairs
Follow the planty adventures of Ciara, Molly, and the oh so charming Louie the dog. They don’t need more followers as they are ohhhh so popular. But I totes need you all to know how much joy they bring.
The end.
That’s it. that’s all I’ve got this week. But if you loved this pass it along to someone else. If you hated it you should let me know. Or just unsubscribe. That’s a viable option too <3
My most killed plant is ficus. No matter the type, I end yo killing it🤷♀️Happy to read you here!
